On a peaceful stretch of Roxbury Parkway in Boston, a vision took shape—a custom home built from the ground up to reflect warmth, simplicity, and bold character. The homeowners sought a residence that stood out without overwhelming the neighborhood, blending clean architecture with natural textures and timeless flow.
Their dream was to create a place that felt both expressive and deeply livable—a space where bold colors, open layouts, and thoughtful materials worked in harmony. From the beginning, the goal was clear: build a home that made a statement on the outside and offered serenity and connection on the inside.
Crafting Character, Inside and Out
The exterior design process began with a bold choice: a rich blue tone that immediately set the home apart—complemented by warm, natural wood detailing around the entry and key architectural accents. These wood elements not only softened the strong color palette but also created a sense of invitation and warmth from the street view.
Inside, the layout was designed for modern living—embracing an open-concept plan that merges the kitchen, dining, and living areas into a single, flowing space. Large windows invite daylight deep into the home, making the interior feel expansive and vibrant.
The kitchen became a focal point—integrated seamlessly into the space with clean cabinetry lines, warm wood finishes, and premium appliances. A central island served as both prep zone and social anchor, making it perfect for entertaining or gathering as a family. Lighting, flooring, and finishes were all selected to bring in comfort without clutter—ensuring that the space felt sophisticated yet cozy.
